Hi, I’m Oyin, the founder of O’SHEA SKN.
My skincare journey began back in 2016 during my final year at university. I battled serious skin issues and often found myself hiding behind makeup because I didn’t feel confident in my own skin. I searched for a long-term solution—something pure, free from additives and harsh chemicals but nothing truly worked for me.
Out of frustration, I turned inward and began researching natural remedies. I spent countless evenings in my kitchen, experimenting with ingredients straight from nature. I paired these homemade creations with a healthier lifestyle—clean eating, staying hydrated, regular exercise—and slowly but surely, my skin began to heal. My health improved. I started to glow from the inside out.
It wasn’t until mid-2023, during one of the lowest points in my personal life, that I truly found my purpose. That season of pain forced me to reconnect with my IKIGAI—my reason for being. I realised I had spent the past seven years practicing holistic skincare, and now it was time to help others do the same.
That’s how O’SHEA SKN was born.
O’SHEA stands for Oyin Soaring Higher Effortlessly Always—a prophetic declaration I made to myself during a dark time, promising that no matter what, I would rise.
I envisioned a brand that would empower people to transform their skin and overall wellbeing using the healing power of nature just like I had done. And once I realised my formulas could truly help others, I got to work. After my 9-5 job, I would spend my evenings in my one-bedroom garage flat, producing body oils, designing packaging, printing labels—a one-woman factory fuelled by passion and purpose.
On January 29th, 2024, I officially launched O’SHEA SKN.
Those early days were humbling. Some weeks brought no sales, other times just one. But I held tightly to the promise God had given me. I stayed consistent, pursued my passion relentlessly, and refused to give up.
In April 2024, I did my first outdoor market with my sister by my side. We had one product (my body oil) a flat table, a tablecloth from Amazon, and a whole lot of faith. No fancy setup, just heart and hustle. It was my husband (then my boyfriend) who later sketched out a dream for a full stall setup—a vision that, at the time, felt almost too big to imagine. But fast forward to today: we’ve brought that vision to life.
We’ve upgraded our stall, expanded our product line beyond body oils to include body butters, scrubs, and hair growth oils. We’ve rebranded, elevated our marketing, launched in Nigeria, been featured in The Vegan Society magazine, and built a growing community of loyal customers online and in person—supported by glowing reviews and incredible repeat customers.
But O’SHEA SKN is more than just a brand—it’s a movement.
We are a tribe committed to holistic wellbeing. We believe in nourishing our skin the natural way, no shortcuts, no chemicals - just consistent care, healthy habits, and the healing power of nature. Our mission is simple: to help you achieve healthy, glowing, youthful skin that lasts well into old age.
